The Popular Party has affirmed that the employment policies promoted by the regional government have positioned Andalusia at “historic” occupation figures, highlighting a significant reduction in unemployment in the province of Huelva.

Representatives of the Popular Party have stated that the employment strategies implemented by the Junta de Andalucía are creating “real job opportunities” and consolidating the community at unprecedented levels of occupation.
The improvement reflected in the Active Population Survey (EPA) data for the first quarter of 2026 has been highlighted, showing a decrease in the unemployment rate in Andalusia to 14.66%. This figure is considered the “best data since statistics were published by the National Institute of Statistics in the last 50 years”.

"We are talking about realities, not just figures. Andalusia is also experiencing a historic moment in employment."

Since the regional government took office in 2019, the unemployment rate has decreased by “almost seven points”, and more than half a million jobs have been created in the autonomous community.
In the province of Huelva, the effectiveness of these policies is evident in the reduction of the number of unemployed, from 50,280 at the end of 2018 to 29,009 in March 2026. This improvement is attributed to a “useful policy, close to the reality of the province and focused on supporting freelancers, businesses, town councils, and the unemployed”.
Between 2019 and 2025, the Junta de Andalucía has allocated more than 218 million euros to employment policies in Huelva, which, according to the Popular Party, demonstrates a “commitment” to the economic and labor development of the province.
