The province of Huelva has become a crucial stage for major political parties, which are intensifying their visits and pre-campaign events ahead of the May 17 elections, with the goal of mobilizing undecided voters.

The former President of the Government, along with the Secretary General of the PSOE-A and socialist candidate for the Presidency of the Junta de Andalucía, will participate in a pre-campaign event at the Jacobo del Barco Building on the Carmen Campus of the University of Huelva. This visit underscores the strategic importance parties attribute to the province.
According to the Official Gazette of the Junta de Andalucía (BOJA), Huelva has eleven deputies, a number that could be decisive in the regional outcome. The volatility of the Huelva electorate, which has shown significant shifts in its preferences in previous elections, makes every vote crucial for the parties.
A barometer from the Center for Sociological Research (CIS), conducted between April 10 and 18, reveals that 10.8% of respondents in the province have not yet decided their vote. The poll indicates that the PP could lose 1.6% of votes compared to 2022, while the PSOE would gain 3% and Vox 0.6%. Adelante would see an increase of 2.7%, and Por Andalucía would experience a slight decrease.
The CIS projection in seats suggests an uncertain scenario for the PP and PSOE, who could either maintain their number of parliamentarians or lose one. The PP would range between five and six seats (compared to six in 2022), and the PSOE between three and four (compared to four four years ago). Vox could secure its second deputy for Huelva, with a range of one to two seats, and Adelante Andalucía could gain representation with one deputy.
This landscape has prompted other national leaders to visit the province. The national president of the PP visited Lepe on April 22, accompanied by the number one candidate for Huelva to the Andalusian Parliament, to reinforce the campaign message. Similarly, the national leader of Vox was in the Huelva capital on April 23, at a meeting in the Plaza de las Monjas, where he addressed topics such as national priority and migration.
