The Summer Festival in Mazagón has begun, transforming the Huelva locality into a meeting point for residents and visitors. The celebration will extend until next Sunday, offering a varied program that includes live music, activities for all ages, sports, and cultural proposals.
The countdown to the official start concluded last weekend with the traditional Botadura (Launching ceremony), an event that unveiled the festival's poster and complete program, attracting numerous attendees and confirming the lively atmosphere that characterizes this summer event.
Music is one of the main attractions. This Thursday's opening day featured the lighting ceremony and a performance by La Freska. On Friday, the musical lineup includes La Otra Banda and Barón Brandy, while Saturday will see performances by Raúl "El Balilla" and the flamenco fusion group Jarampa. On Sunday, Somos del Sur will close the festival with a repertoire of sevillanas and rumbas.
In addition to the main acts, orchestras Transición and La Clave will liven up the fairgrounds each night. The Joven Space (Youth Space) will offer DJ sets extending the fun well into the early morning.
The festival is designed for the whole family, with an extensive children's program. Sunday features one of the most anticipated events for families: the grand children's gala and the show "El baile de las emociones" (The Dance of Emotions), a proposal combining music, dance, and fun for the youngest attendees.
Sports also have their place. Even before the official inauguration, the traditional Goalkeeper and Penalty Shootout competition was held. This Friday will also feature another popular activity: the Bike Festival, a ride through the streets of Mazagón open to all ages, concluding with the usual prize raffle.
