The production, which returns to the stage after more than a decade of absence, brings the bohemian atmosphere of 19th-century Paris to a contemporary visual proposal. Multi-camera filming allows the audience in Huelva to appreciate both the set design and the intense performances of the leads in great detail.
The staging stands out for its use of transparent materials in its design, facilitating a dynamic and immersive narrative. The work, which lasts 123 minutes, is presented in Italian with Spanish subtitles, as part of a series of operas recorded in prestigious European theaters.
This initiative is part of a special program distributed in 53 cinemas across Spain. Following this screening, the series will continue in June with other prominent titles from the international operatic repertoire, such as Madama Butterfly and Rigoletto.
