The fire started around 6:30 PM and quickly produced dense smoke, alerting numerous residents who contacted the 112 Emergency Service of Andalusia. The smoke plume was visible from virtually the entire city, moving towards areas like Barrio Obrero and Isla Chica.
According to information provided by the Huelva City Council, the fire occurred in a pasture area near the old train station. The presence of tires near the fire appears to be the cause of the intense and dark black smoke.
Personnel from the Municipal Fire Service of Huelva quickly arrived at the scene and worked to control the flames. The large smoke column generated significant public interest, particularly along Avenida de Italia, where onlookers observed the firefighters' efforts.
By 7:00 PM, the municipal firefighters had declared the fire under control, and the black smoke began to turn white. Three fire trucks, nearly ten firefighters, along with officers from the Local Police and National Police, were involved in the operation.
At 7:30 PM, the Huelva City Council confirmed the complete extinguishment of the fire, which concluded without any personal injuries.
