The extreme heat episode is affecting the province with varying alert levels. This Monday, the regions of Aracena, Andévalo, and Condado are under an orange warning, with temperatures expected to reach 40 degrees. Meanwhile, the Litoral area is under a yellow warning, with highs of 38 degrees that could locally exceed that figure around Almonte.
Meteorological authorities have specified that the warnings are active between 13:00 and 21:00. In addition to the high daytime peaks, minimum temperatures will not drop below 22 degrees, hindering thermal relief during the night.
Aemet has warned of a level ten out of eleven ultraviolet index, representing a very high risk of sun damage. It is recommended to avoid prolonged sun exposure, especially during the central hours of the day.
For Tuesday, the orange warning will persist in Andévalo and Condado, while Aracena and the Litoral will shift to yellow level. Although forecasts suggest a possible temperature drop starting Thursday, uncertainty regarding the status of warnings for Wednesday remains due to the persistence of values similar to current ones.
