The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated orange and yellow level alerts in Huelva due to the arrival of very warm air masses. From 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the regions of Aracena, El Andévalo, and El Condado will be on orange alert for maximum temperatures that could reach 40 degrees Celsius. In specific areas of El Andévalo, such as Paymogo and El Granado, up to 41 degrees are expected, with minimum temperatures not dropping below 22 degrees. The Huelva coastline, meanwhile, is under a yellow alert with highs of 36 degrees.
This Wednesday is characterized by mostly clear skies, some high-altitude clouds, and a slight increase in temperatures. For Thursday, conditions remain stable, although a rise in maximum temperatures is expected along the coast. The alerts will continue: orange level in Aracena, El Andévalo, and El Condado (maximums of 40 degrees) and yellow in the coastal areas (maximums of 36 degrees).
On Friday, the intense heat will persist, with a yellow alert in Aracena, El Andévalo, and El Condado, where official highs will be 39 degrees Celsius, potentially exceeding 41 degrees during the central hours. The weekend offers no respite, with temperatures continuing to rise, possibly reaching 42 degrees on Saturday and 41 degrees on Sunday, consolidating this episode of extreme heat.
