The Laberinto Foundation has organized the Huelva Descubridora Bike, a 42-kilometer charity cycling event to be held on Sunday, April 12, in the surroundings of La Rábida, aiming to raise funds for the construction of a Multipurpose Center.
This initiative, supported by the Diputación de Huelva, will pass through the municipalities of Palos de la Frontera and Moguer. The primary goal is to finance a crucial space for the care of individuals with rare and undiagnosed diseases, promoting their integration and normalization within the city's daily life.
Juan Daniel Romero, Deputy for Sports of the Diputación de Huelva, expressed the institution's strong support for the event, emphasizing its non-competitive nature. According to Romero, participants will have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful landscapes and trails offered by Palos de la Frontera and Moguer.

"From the very first moment they presented this initiative to us, we did not hesitate to collaborate and show all our support."
Meanwhile, Pilar Pereda, president of the Laberinto Foundation, thanked the Diputación and the involved municipalities for their collaboration. Pereda highlighted the importance of the Multipurpose Center, which will be located on a plot ceded by the Huelva city council in the Pescadería area. The forging phase has already been completed, and the next step will be the enclosure.

"The construction of the Multipurpose Center is an essential project for the care of people with rare diseases and undiagnosed diseases, a space that not only provides care but also integrates and normalizes functional diversity in the daily life of the city."
Francisco Lucena, technical director of the Huelva Descubridora Bike, explained that the route is accessible to cyclists of various skill levels, combining sport, nature, and heritage. After the event, a solidarity bar with food and drinks will be available to foster camaraderie and continue supporting the charitable cause. Registrations, priced at twenty euros, will be open until the Saturday before the event.
