The initiative, promoted by the Department of Culture and Archaeological Heritage, seeks to strengthen support for emerging talent in the capital. According to the local government, the increase in the prize money aims to boost the appeal of a competition that has become a benchmark for the musical diversity of the region.
The deadline for submitting applications will end on July 31 at 11:59 PM. Interested parties must send two original compositions, recorded in the studio or live, to the email address provided by the organization.
To participate, groups must meet the requirement that at least 50% of their members are born or reside in the city of Huelva. Furthermore, artists cannot have active record contracts, and each participant is limited to registering for a maximum of two groups.
A specialized jury, composed of music industry professionals, will be responsible for evaluating the proposals based on criteria such as innovation, technical quality, sound, and the image of the submitted projects.
