The event, which took place between February 4 and 6, overcame challenges such as competition from other forums, railway disruptions, and a storm, successfully strengthening its position as a major business and industrial development hub. The Federación Onubense de Empresarios (FOE), the congress organizer, highlighted that this figure includes expenses for accommodation, catering, transport, commerce, and event production, significantly boosting the local economy.
“"The Congress is not just an event; it is a declaration of intent that places Huelva on the map of the new energy industry."
José Luis García-Palacios Álvarez, president of the FOE, emphasized the strategic value of the gathering, stating that Huelva is destined to become the “largest green industrial park in Southern Europe.” This vision is already materializing with projects such as the Andalusian Hydrogen Valley of Moeve.
The latest edition of the congress attracted 1,265 delegates and 135 accredited journalists, with participants from 33 nationalities. Additionally, it featured the involvement of 450 companies and representatives from 52 institutions, associations, and hydrogen valleys across Europe, Latin America, and Asia, underscoring its international and business-oriented profile.
A key indicator of the event's success was the execution of 956 bilateral business meetings (B2B), of which 425 were managed through Andalucía TRADE, the agency of the Junta de Andalucía. These meetings facilitated alliances, investments, and new industrial projects, solidifying the congress as a platform for real opportunities. The exhibition area, spanning 1,000 square meters with 40 stands, served as a showcase for leading companies in the sector.
Media coverage was also significant, exceeding 200.7 million impacts in media and social networks, with a brand value estimated at 14.7 million euros. A total of 2,409 news articles and mentions were recorded, reaching 83 countries across five continents, internationally projecting Huelva's image. García-Palacios also highlighted the involvement of local companies as suppliers, demonstrating the province's capacity to host large-scale events. The congress is already planning its fourth edition, scheduled for February 10-12, 2027, with support from major energy companies and administrations such as the Huelva City Council, the Junta de Andalucía, the Huelva Provincial Council, and the Port of Huelva.
