The deputy general secretary of the PSOE-A and head of the list for Huelva, emphasized the importance of all citizens having access to psychological care, regardless of their economic situation. This statement was made during a visit to Feafes-Huelva Mental Health in Huelva.
“"It is fundamental that all of us have the guarantee of access to psychological care regardless of what our pockets weigh, something that in Andalucía, at this moment, is not happening."
The socialist representative criticized that, currently, the average waiting time for a first mental health appointment in Andalucía is four months, even exceeding a year in the Province of Huelva. She described this situation as “very serious” because she considers it a breach of equal opportunities.
The party's commitment is that anyone who registers a request for psychological care in the SAS will receive an initial response from the administration within 15 days. She also referred to reports about the use of expired products in health management, calling it “absurd.”
Given this scenario, the party has called for citizen mobilization for the upcoming elections, urging people to vote for progressive options. She criticized that the strategy of the president of the Junta de Andalucía has focused on discouraging participation and on the debate about an absolute majority, without presenting concrete proposals for the problems of Andalusians.
The PSOE-A has insisted that the only way to “save public health” in Andalucía is to concentrate votes on their party to achieve a change in the government of the Junta de Andalucía.
