According to a statement from the City Council, this success solidifies the municipality's position as one of the most attractive destinations in the province. During this period, 12,131 out of 14,065 available places were occupied across hotels, tourist apartments, holiday homes, and rural accommodations.
These figures align Ayamonte with the occupancy forecasts for Andalusia, where hotels reached between 71.5% and 78.1% during the central days. In the province of Huelva, rural accommodations registered 67.9%, confirming the positive trend of the tourism sector in the region.
Favorable weather conditions were a crucial factor, allowing residents and visitors to fully enjoy the processions, gastronomic offerings, beaches, and cultural heritage. Terraces and outdoor seating areas maintained high occupancy throughout the week, boosting the local hospitality sector.
“"These data confirm that the city continues to consolidate itself as a reference tourist destination."
The City Council has acknowledged the efforts of merchants, hoteliers, tourism professionals, brotherhoods, and the Association of Brotherhoods, whose organization was fundamental for the development of an Easter Week marked by participation and tradition. The work of municipal services, especially in cleaning, was also highlighted for reinforcing operations to maintain streets in optimal conditions.
With this positive outcome, Ayamonte looks forward to the upcoming summer season with optimism, focusing on preparing its beaches and further strengthening its tourism offerings, which combine culture, leisure, and nature, with the goal of consolidating its position as a reference destination in 2026.
