Emergency services in Huelva responded to a citizen call reporting a significant emission of smoke from inside a hospitality establishment. The incident, which occurred around 4:45 PM on Tuesday, caused concern among residents in the area.
“"Callers were frightened to see a huge column of smoke coming from inside and spreading across the facade."
In response, the emergency protocol was immediately activated, deploying Local Police officers and a firefighter unit initially consisting of four vehicles to the scene. The swift intervention allowed the situation to be brought under control, and most of the crew was able to withdraw shortly after 5:00 PM, once it was confirmed that there was no imminent risk of spread.
Ultimately, the Huelva Fire Department confirmed that the smoke originated from a fryer that caught fire in the bar's kitchen. Personnel carried out ventilation and inspection tasks at the premises, with no personal injuries or significant material damage to the establishment reported, beyond the effects of the smoke.
