Amidst a squad overhaul following a successful sporting year, Granada CF Femenino faces another departure. Defender Yolanda Sierra, better known as Yoli, has communicated through her social media channels her decision to leave the red-and-white team after an intense campaign under the guidance of Irene Ferreras.
Yoli, who joined the club last summer from Atlético de Madrid, saw her playing time decrease as the season progressed. During the current campaign, also affected by some injuries, she participated in 16 matches, starting in 10 of them. Despite the circumstances, she has shown potential for the future in the center-back position.
“"I never imagined I would grow so much personally and professionally. It hasn't been an easy stage, but I leave happy, proud, and with a backpack full of experiences and learning. The city and the club will forever remain in my heart, as I have learned things that, I am sure, will stay with me always."
Coach Irene Ferreras, who has shown confidence in the young defender whenever circumstances allowed, responded to Yoli's message on the social network 'X' (formerly Twitter), calling her "EXEMPLARY" and wishing her success in her next challenge.
