The incident occurred in the early morning of March 22, when the victim was waiting at a bus stop in La Herradura to return home after enjoying the local patron saint festivities. At that moment, a conversation with three other young people present escalated into an argument and subsequently, an assault.
As a result of the assault, the victim sustained various injuries that required medical attention, according to a statement released by the Armed Institute. Upon learning of the incident, the Civil Guard launched an investigation to clarify the facts.
The inquiries, conducted by agents from the Civil Guard's Investigation Area of Almuñécar and witness statements, led to the identification of two of the alleged assailants. Although initially more people were suspected of involvement, the investigation confirmed that three individuals were implicated in the incident.
The two identified youths have been brought before the courts. The investigation remains open with the aim of identifying and locating the third person involved in the assault, as reported by the Armed Institute.
