A graffiti tag made in the Plazeta de las Escuelas, in the heart of Granada's Albaicín neighborhood, has resulted in the identification and reporting of its alleged author. The investigation began after the young woman herself shared images of the act on her TikTok profile, where she has a large following.
The graffiti message included a reference to the Alhambra, leaving its mark on one of the city's most emblematic heritage sites. The social media post provided officers with a key clue to start the investigation. The Granada Local Police collaborated with the Palma Local Police, which was instrumental in locating the alleged perpetrator.
Once located, the woman has been identified and reported for her actions in this area of the Albaicín, a neighborhood recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Local Police have used the case to warn about the use of social media to display uncivil behavior, noting that such posts can facilitate the identification of those involved.
The recording, which has since been removed from the young woman's account, was used to launch the investigation. Authorities have emphasized the importance of protecting Granada's heritage, reminding that the damage caused by graffiti in a historic site goes beyond a simple wall, especially in a protected area like the Albaicín.
