The 'Los Acústicos del Rey Chico' concert series, held in Granada, has reached its midpoint, providing a platform for the practical training of lighting and sound technicians. This event, which began on April 13 and will run until May 5, includes a total of ten musical performances.
The third week of this program kicks off on April 27 with a performance by Alberto Barbán-Flamenco Jazz, known for his fusion of flamenco and jazz. This will be followed on April 28 by the Ángel Barrios String Orchestra, performing classical and popular repertoire with traditional instruments. On April 29, singer María Cortés, 'La Granaína', will offer her voice in a concert dedicated to traditional Granadan songs.
The final week of the series will be dedicated to the sounds of Brazil. On May 4, Aquarela do Brasil will present classic Brazilian rhythms such as bossa nova and samba. The series will conclude on May 5 with the electronic proposal of El domador de medusas, characterized by its experimental style.
In addition to live performances, the program includes the recording and broadcasting of the concerts through the YouTube channel of the Andalusian Agency of Cultural Institutions. This audiovisual material is provided to each band for their promotion, thus enriching the practical training of the center's technicians.
The performances take place at the Plató del Rey Chico, located on the Paseo de los Tristes. Admission is free until capacity is reached, which is approximately 80 seats, with prior reservation of invitations. Invitations can be collected in the center's lobby half an hour before the start of each show. Concerts begin at 8:00 PM and last approximately an hour and a half.
