The Blacksheep project represents a journey of self-discovery and artistic daring for Ruth Lorenzo, capturing raw emotion and unfiltered authenticity. This work was recorded live and on analog tape at the prestigious Real World Studios, with the artist herself co-producing alongside Emilio Esteban. Mixing and mastering were handled by Silvia Massy, and Rafa Sardina served as the sound engineer.
On the Granada stage, Ruth Lorenzo will be accompanied by a band of experienced musicians: Sergio Bernal, Ricardo Ruíz, Nando Robles, and David Lozano. This lineup promises an “overwhelming, impactful, and exciting” live performance, as highlighted by the event organizers. The sound of Blacksheep is designed to enhance the singer's powerful voice, offering a musical experience that pays homage to the spirit of rock with a hypnotic execution.
This new work is shaping up to be Ruth Lorenzo's most audacious career project, conceived as an anthem for those who have ever felt different or out of place. Through a combination of electrifying anthems and moving ballads, Blacksheep explores universal themes such as doubt, rebellion, and self-acceptance, connecting with the audience on a deep and emotional level.
