The PSOE of Granada capital has announced its proposed list of six candidates for the upcoming regional elections on May 17, with Arantxa Urrea and Paco Cuenca highlighted as the leading names.

Following an assembly held this Tuesday, the party has compiled a list that, according to their statements, aims to "represent the best of Granada in Andalusia." The selection of candidates has followed a 'zipper' format, alternating men and women to ensure gender parity.
The list is headed by Arantxa Urrea, a member of the Federal Executive Commission of the Spanish Socialist Youth (JSE) and Secretary of Public Universities, Science, and Innovation for the PSOE of Granada. She is followed by Paco Cuenca, former mayor of the capital, current provincial deputy and councilor in the City Council, and spokesperson for the PSOE-A Executive, as well as coordinator of the Culture and New Citizenship Rights Area at the regional level.
Other notable names on the proposal include Olga Manzano, regional parliamentarian and Secretary of Equality for the Andalusian PSOE. Also featured are Jorge Ibáñez, Secretary General of the Socialist Youth of Granada and head of Universities in the regional Executive, and María Ángeles Prieto, who also served as an Andalusian parliamentarian in the last term. The list concludes with Jacobo Calvo, a councilor in the Granada City Council.
