The arrest follows an investigation into an incident that took place one week ago. According to police reports, the individual gained access to the property by forcing open a balcony window during the early hours of the morning. Once inside, he allegedly stole personal items, including a credit card, a mobile phone, a tablet, and cash.
The suspect fled the scene after being discovered by the resident, whose shouts caused the intruder to escape by jumping from the balcony. A forensic inspection of the area led to the discovery of a watch that did not belong to the victim, a crucial piece of evidence that helped investigators identify the suspect.
The suspect was finally apprehended this week when a patrol unit identified him in a different building. During a search of his belongings, officers found tools commonly used in burglaries, such as gloves and a screwdriver. Upon confirming he was wanted for the previous robbery, he was taken into custody and handed over to judicial authorities.
