Organized by the Andalusian Agency of Cultural Institutions, under the Ministry of Culture and Sport, this event is crucial for the practical training of future stage technicians. Throughout April and early May, students will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge in sound engineering, recording, editing, assembly, and lighting design.
The series has garnered significant interest, receiving numerous applications from music groups eager to collaborate. From these, ten acts have been selected to perform at the Plató del Rey Chico, located at Paseo de los Tristes s/n.
The program kicks off on April 13 with Pablo Hoces y La Piña, followed on April 14 by Gospel Molotov, and concluding the first week with Ojos de Blues. The following week, Yumanan will perform on April 20, and Trío Anlage on April 21.
The third week of concerts begins on April 27 with Alberto Barbán-Flamenco Jazz; April 28 will feature the Orquesta de Pulso y Púa Ángel Barrios, and María Cortés La Granaína will close on April 29. Finally, the last week will be dedicated to Brazilian music with Aquarela do Brasil on May 4, and the series will conclude on May 5 with the electronic sounds of El Domador de Medusas.
In addition to the live experience, the concerts are recorded and broadcast live via the YouTube channel of the Andalusian Agency of Cultural Institutions. The resulting audiovisual material is provided to each band for their promotion, thus completing a valuable resource for both musicians and students.
Admission to the shows is free until capacity is reached, approximately 80 seats, with prior reservation of invitations. These can be collected in the center's lobby half an hour before each performance, with a maximum of two per person. All performances begin at 8:00 PM and last approximately an hour and a half.
