Granada's Provincial Vocational Training Fair Solidifies with Significant Participation Increase

The second edition of the event in the Province of Granada saw a 35.5% rise in educational centers and institutions, attracting over 3,000 attendees.

The second edition of the Provincial Vocational Training Fair in Granada has cemented its position as a key event for academic and professional guidance, experiencing significant growth in the participation of educational centers and institutions.

Organized by the Territorial Delegation of Educational Development and Vocational Training and the Chamber of Commerce of Granada, with the support of the Granada City Council and the Granada Provincial Council, the fair has excelled in connecting students with the professional world. The event was held in the outdoor area of the Granada Sports Palace, which allowed for greater capacity and accessibility for attendees.

Participation grew by 35.5% compared to the previous year, with 61 exhibitors and the collaboration of students from three centers. Additionally, nearly 50 companies attended the event, strengthening their ties with vocational institutes and exploring the integration of Vocational Training into their human resources strategies. It is estimated that the fair brought together over 3,000 people, including exhibitors and students from ESO, Bachillerato, and Vocational Training Cycles.
The 2026 edition saw an expansion of institutional participation, incorporating entities such as the Subdelegation of Defense, the Andalusian Emergency Agency 112, the Granada School Residences dependent on the Junta de Andalucía, the School of Training in Crafts, Restoration and Rehabilitation of Historical, Artistic and Cultural Heritage Albayzín, and the CPIFP Cartuja. Exhibiting centers came from the capital and its metropolitan area, as well as municipalities such as Baza, Guadix, Motril, Salobreña, Padul, Dúrcal, Montefrío, Huétor-Tájar, Iznalloz, and Lanjarón.

The Province of Granada offers a wide range of 420 vocational training cycles and various specialization courses, serving over 20,000 students. Collaboration between the business sector and the city's integrated centers is considered essential to align young talent with market demands. The fair's program included talks for companies on integrating Vocational Training into human resources management and networking sessions to identify training needs and collaboration opportunities.
During the event, demonstrative activities were carried out in multiple areas, such as chainsaw workshops, robotic arms, welding, mixed reality, physical activity animation, DJ sessions, gaming, cooking, mixology, baking, laboratory work, dietetics, food analysis, environmental safety, 3D printers, sewing, characterization, as well as vital signs and body mass index measurement. Training cycles corresponding to 22 professional families were presented, including physical and sports activities, administration and management, agriculture, commerce and marketing, electricity and electronics, hospitality and tourism, image and sound, IT and communications, health, sociocultural and community services, textile, clothing and leather, and transport and vehicle maintenance.
