The city of Granada has been selected to host the twenty-sixth edition of the National Celadores Congress, scheduled to take place from April 28 to 30, 2027. The event will be centered at the San Cecilio University Clinical Hospital, an institution affiliated with the Andalusian Health Service (SAS).
Under the theme ‘Celadores 360: the hospital in motion’, the congress aims to highlight the adaptability, versatility, and crucial role of ward orderlies in all aspects of the hospital environment. Over 250 healthcare professionals from various parts of the country are expected to participate, discussing new challenges and the advancement of this professional group's role.
Granada's selection as host was made official during the previous edition of the congress held in Santander. Members of the local organizing committee, from the San Cecilio Clinical Hospital and Virgen de las Nieves Hospital, presented the Granada bid, which was developed through the collaborative efforts of ward orderlies from several centers in the province.
The Granada proposal includes a comprehensive scientific program featuring round tables, conferences, and a communications and poster competition, all aimed at reinforcing the congress's position as a key forum for networking, training, and recognition for ward orderlies.
“"The enthusiasm, commitment, and initiative of the Granada ward orderly team have driven this candidacy. They are an essential part of the functioning of healthcare centers, providing essential close and humane care for patients and supporting the daily work of other professionals."
The organizing committee will release further details regarding the program, registration process, and other activities related to this national event in the coming months.
