The Provincial Council of Granada has announced the construction of a new Provincial Drug Dependency Center (CPD) on the health plot of the Therapeutic Community, with an estimated investment exceeding 1.7 million euros.
The provincial institution will construct new facilities for the Provincial Drug Dependency Center (CPD) on the health plot of the Therapeutic Community, adjacent to the Provincial Council's main headquarters. This decision addresses the need for a viable, long-term solution for the service.
The priority is to ensure that the CPD's relocation, scheduled for the Christmas season of 2027, occurs in adequate facilities that meet the current and future demands of the service. The president of the Provincial Council of Granada has communicated this proposal to representatives of the San Juan de Dios Hospital Order.
The provincial government has evaluated various alternatives to secure a stable location, ultimately opting for the construction of a new building specifically designed to house the Provincial Drug Dependency Center. The aim is to guarantee the quality of care provided by this essential public service.
The future CPD will feature a two-story building spanning over 1,200 square meters on an independent plot within the health complex. The new premises will include spaces for healthcare, professional consultations, therapy rooms, a day center, teaching, and administration.
