The Public Prosecutor's Office is seeking an eight-year prison sentence for the defendant and a prohibition from approaching his alleged victim within 200 meters for a decade. The events took place in the early hours of October 27, 2024, near a nightlife establishment in the city.

According to the indictment, the argument originated from "previous unexplained disagreements." During the altercation, the accused allegedly pushed the victim and brandished a knife, with which he attacked the victim twice in the chest and stomach, "with the illicit intent to end his life."

The victim's injuries, which required various treatments, posed a "grave risk to his life," particularly those to the right and left hemithorax, which caused bilateral pleural effusion.

The Public Prosecutor's Office considers the accused guilty of attempted homicide. In addition to the prison sentence and restraining order, the prosecution proposes the possible substitution of the sentence with expulsion from national territory, with a ten-year entry ban, should the accused, currently in prison, reach the third degree or be granted conditional release.

Furthermore, it is requested that the accused compensate the victim with 2,228.77 euros for the injuries and 1,018.81 euros for a minor aesthetic disfigurement.
