The city of Granada is gradually progressing towards recovery following the recent earthquakes. The City Council maintains the deployed municipal device to assess damage and coordinate necessary actions, while technical teams continue to inspect buildings and supervise still-affected areas.
Work has allowed access to be restored to 12 streets and spaces, including Navas, Alhóndiga, Capitanía, Elvira, Compás de San Jerónimo, Gran Vía con Marqués de Falces, Santa Aurelia, Carrera del Darro, San Juan Baja, Poeta César Vallejo, Kindelán, and Sol. There are still 32 streets and areas with partial or occasional restrictions, whose full recovery will depend on inspections and necessary work.
To date, technicians have inspected 675 private and 85 public buildings, totaling over 750 properties reviewed. The objective is to ensure safety and allow the progressive recovery of activity in restricted zones.
During the last day, Granada firefighters carried out 390 interventions, 41 of which required on-site presence. Local Police handled 513 requests, including 370 calls to 092 and 143 services referred from 112.
The City Council reminds affected individuals that they can benefit from a 95% bonus on the Tax on Constructions, Installations, and Works (ICIO) for habitual residences and economic activities, and a 50% bonus for other properties.
The City Council emphasizes the importance of remaining calm and following the instructions of emergency services, consulting only official channels for situation updates.
