Among the most significant initiatives is the new tender for the public transport contract, which has been expired since 2022. This project, with a budget of 461.4 million euros and a ten-year concession period, is crucial for urban mobility. Additionally, 120,000 euros will be allocated for a new North operational center and 14,000 euros for the innovation of the PGOU to enable its construction.
The plan also addresses the operation of the bus station with 350,000 euros, the tourist train with 334,000 euros, and the concession of the ORA and Towing service for 4.3 million. A "traffic calming" system is planned with an investment of 183,828 euros, and a study of maintenance needs for the bus station for 14,000 euros.
In the area of infrastructure and equipment, 900,000 euros will be allocated for the equipping and relocation of the new municipal archive in the Carmen del Negro. Furthermore, 2.5 million euros are included for the renovation of the Nuevo Los Cármenes Stadium and 5 million euros for the Parque de las Familias. Archaeological excavations in Las Chirimías (Paseo de Romayla) will receive 149,379 euros, and the Linear Walk of the Zirí Wall will have 3.5 million euros.
The document also includes a contract "for the first time" for a high-tolerance center for homeless individuals, allowing overnight stays throughout the year and serving as a climate refuge, with an investment of 665,000 euros for a male residential center. Other projects include the collection of bitter oranges for 80,000 euros, 1.5 million euros for the asphalt plan, and 100,000 euros for the fair's entrance for the next four years.
Finally, swimming pools and creation centers will be developed in Chana, Zaidín, and Norte, with investments such as 237,272 euros for the Crealab and AquaChana, 198,148 euros for the VerticalLab and Aqua Zaidín, and 173,433 euros for the SoundLab of Joaquina Eguaras. Works are also planned for Plaza Fontiveros (400,000 euros) and Plaza Ciudad de los Cármenes (800,000 euros), in addition to the purchase of waste collection trucks for 2.7 million euros.
