The cultural initiative, promoted by the Culture and Education delegation and the Carlos Cano Memory Association, will begin on June 20 in Las Gabias. The tour will continue on July 17 in Carchuna-Calahonda, as part of the Carlillos Festival, and will conclude on August 12 in Jerez del Marquesado, within the framework of the Picón Rock festival.
The central focus of this tour is the album "Tierra. El Hombre Garabato canta a Carlos Cano", released in 2025 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the artist's death. This work features eight songs reinterpreted by the band, blending pop, rock, and psychedelia, and highlights Cano's more social, popular, and committed side, reclaiming significant but less-traveled compositions.
This cultural project gains particular significance following the recent release of the music video for "A las cinco de un 5 de junio", one of the singer-songwriter's lesser-known tracks, inspired by the historic popular tribute to Federico García Lorca held in Fuente Vaqueros in 1976.
“"We keep alive a work that is part of our cultural heritage and continues to convey values that are fully relevant in today's society."
Amaranta Cano, the singer-songwriter's daughter, is expected to attend several concerts, supporting a project aimed at preserving the work and values championed by Carlos Cano, such as popular culture and an open, plural, and mestizo Andalusian identity. Provincial Deputy Pilar Caracuel emphasized the tour as an opportunity to promote the artist's figure and highlighted the Council's commitment to accessible, quality culture that reaches all municipalities, uniting memory, contemporary artistic creation, and territorial commitment for new generations.
