The Granada Rocío Brotherhood has officially launched the preparations for its 2026 pilgrimage with the unveiling of the official poster and the traditional proclamation at the Parish Church of San Pedro y San Pablo.

This event, part of the corporation's calendar of religious acts, annually signals the countdown for the new journey of the Granada pilgrims to the Aldea del Rocío. The ceremony took place in the emblematic Parish Church of San Pedro y San Pablo, a significant venue for the community.
The official proclamation was delivered by a brother of the Granada corporation, who, introduced by the presenter, extolled the experiences of the pilgrims, their childhood memories, and their devotion to the Blanca Paloma. His words evoked the deep connection of the faithful with this tradition.

"When I saw the Simpecado pass through the Arco de Elvira, I dreamed since childhood of seeing the Virgin and making the journey."

During the event, a representative of the brotherhood presented the Official Poster for the Granada Rocío Brotherhood's 2026 journey. This pictorial work, conceived by a Granada artist, was described as an authentic “dialogue with the divine.” The central composition depicts the face of the Virgin of Rocío framed in a distinctive 'rostrillo', reflecting the aesthetic of the embroideries of the Venerated Simpecado of the Granada Brotherhood.
According to the presenter, the Huelva Rocío Brotherhood “embraces” the Granada corporation, symbolizing the “protection and shared history” of the Mother Brotherhood. The divinity, represented in the upper part of the canvas, descends to the “human,” showing the path of the Rocío with dust, a cart, an olive tree, and pilgrims heading towards the Sanctuary of Las Marismas.
Pilgrims and devotees eagerly await the departure of the Granada Rocío Brotherhood, scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2026, on the eve of the Rocío Pilgrimage celebration.
