Organized by the Territorial Delegation of Educational Development and Vocational Training, these conferences took place at the Faculty of Sciences and were attended by María José Martín, territorial delegate for Educational Development and Vocational Training and for University, Research and Innovation.
The main purpose of the meeting was to establish a space for reflection, training, and the exchange of experiences regarding inclusive education. It was emphasized that inclusion is not merely a theoretical principle but a daily practice in educational centers to ensure that all students, regardless of their personal, social, or cultural characteristics, can participate, learn, and develop with equal opportunities.
Among the topics addressed were the principles of inclusive education and their practical application in schools, as well as the presentation of real experiences implemented in various educational contexts across the province of Granada. The goal was to highlight good practices and effective strategies to foster inclusion.
Furthermore, issues of particular relevance were discussed, such as student support in specific classrooms, with a special focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD); educational responses from a compensatory perspective in situations of inequality; the importance of emotional education, conflict management, and student well-being; inclusion in mainstream classrooms and across all educational stages, including Secondary Education; and finally, the transition to adult and working life for students with special educational needs.
The participation of 450 people is significant, as it represents the majority of the 618 professionals working in this field in the province of Granada, according to data provided by the Delegation.
