The red-and-white squad trained at the club's Sports City in a session open to the media, where the absences that coach, José Martín Rojo 'Pacheta', will have to manage were evident. The team maintains an intense training rhythm with the ball, seeking maximum involvement from all players in the final matchdays of the season.
Among the confirmed absences is Luca Zidane, who underwent surgery last week and will miss the remainder of the season. The player is recovering from a fracture sustained in his jaw and chin during a previous match.
Another important player, Manu Lama, was also not present at the training. The Granada CF center-back has been dealing with muscle discomfort since early April and continues his recovery process, with little chance of being available for this week's Andalusian derby.
Meanwhile, Loïc Williams, although not training with the main group, worked on an adjacent field with a re-adaptation specialist to recover from muscle discomfort he experienced after the match against Real Zaragoza. His participation in the upcoming match is yet to be determined.
To compensate for these absences, the coaching staff has incorporated Zinebi and Flores, two young talents from the academy, into the first team's dynamic. Both players, whose reserve team concludes its season this Sunday, could be included in the squad for the crucial match.
