The province of Granada is gearing up for a vibrant cultural summer with approximately twenty free activities organized by the Ministry of Culture and Sports in its museums, archives, and libraries, primarily taking place in July and August.

The Granada Archaeological Museum will host the 'City of Three Musics' cycle, exploring Andalusian music, Christian troubadours, and Sephardic memory. It will also feature the concert '30 Years Without María Luisa Anido,' a tribute to the guitarist by José Luis Ruiz del Puerto, as part of the Granada Guitar Festival 2026.
The Granada Museum of Fine Arts will offer educational workshops on drawing, badges, and magnets for primary school children. Meanwhile, the Casa de los Tiros Museum presents 'A Summer at the Museum,' an urban camp for children aged five to 12, and a classical guitar concert on July 14th at 9:00 PM, featuring Gwenyth Aggeler, winner of CICA 2025.
The Library of Andalusia will highlight an exhibition of musical instruments from al-Andalus, in collaboration with Legado Andalusí, located at the Corral del Carbón. It will also launch its 'Summer Readings,' dedicated this year to author Susana Martín Gijón, a prominent figure in contemporary Spanish narrative. The weekly online publication will begin on July 31st with a biographical overview.
The works recommended in 'Summer Readings' are part of the Andalusian Public Library Network's catalog and will be available for physical or free electronic access through the eBiblio Andalucía platform.
Until August 31st, the Provincial Public Library of Granada is exhibiting the bibliographical display 'Andalusia, Destination of Romantic Travelers' in its lobby.
The Royal Chancellery has updated its records, making over 53,000 documents related to nobility processes available for consultation from July onwards. Additionally, 240 figurative documents, including maps and plans from the 16th to 19th centuries, have been digitized, reflecting the territory under its jurisdiction, particularly the Kingdom of Granada and Andalusia.
Other exhibitions in Andalusian archives include one on the influence of water in the poetry of Federico García Lorca, at the Centro Lorca, in collaboration with the Archive of the Alhambra and Generalife.
