The Mosaico festival, organized by the Culture Department of Martos, returns from October 9th to 30th with a diverse program including theater, literature, workshops, music, and exhibitions, many of them created by local artists.
The cultural initiative aims to bring art and imagination to families and the entire community. The Councilor for Culture, Elena Molina, highlighted the variety of offerings, featuring a dozen events throughout the month.
The program kicks off on October 9th with the family and object theater performance 'Lúa' at the Sala B of the Municipal Theater. On October 15th, the Municipal House of Culture will host 'Antes de: Visión de unos niños sobre un pueblo que no conocieron', a photographic proposal inviting participants to imagine Martos' past.
Literature takes center stage on October 16th with the presentation of the book 'Abracadibro' at the Municipal Theater, by its author, Alicia Bululú. On October 18th, the Municipal Theater will host 'La Chef Pipa', combining a cooking workshop for twelve families with a puppet show.
The exhibition 'Narraciones', in collaboration with the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, will be on display from October 19th to 30th at the Municipal House of Culture, exploring the role of women in transmitting knowledge. Other activities include 'Cosas que pasan en los mejores cuentos' on October 22nd and 'El mosaico de los sonidos' on October 23rd, a musical and artistic proposal for children.
On October 24th, the Garden of the Municipal House of Culture will host the Local Book Fair, featuring the city's bookstores and a solidarity hot chocolate event benefiting the Saharawi People's Aid Association.
The festival concludes on October 30th with a meeting with writer Inma Rubiales at the Sala B of the Municipal Theater. All activities are free, and those with limited capacity will require prior registration at the Municipal House of Culture.
