The Archdiocese of Granada has announced the measure, which aims to ensure visitor safety until the affected structures can be properly inspected after the seismic events recorded in the capital and its metropolitan area.
The exhibition 'Kerygma. The art of evangelizing', housed in the main temple, will also remain closed to the public as part of this precaution.
In addition to the Cathedral, the Sagrario-Cathedral Parish, the Royal Chapel of Granada, the Monastery of the Cartuja, and the Abbey of Sacromonte are other heritage sites that have been closed. These locations typically attract a large number of tourists.
