Police actions were concentrated in eight distinct operations, covering the capital, Motril, and Baza. These interventions not only targeted large and small-scale drug trafficking but also included the dismantling of indoor marijuana plantations and surveillance operations in various neighborhoods.
In addition to the 8,000 marijuana plants, all of which were located in the Granada capital, officers seized nearly two kilograms of hashish. Of this amount, 26% was found in Motril and the remaining 74% in Granada city. They also confiscated 84 grams of cocaine, primarily in Baza (83%), and small quantities of heroin and designer drugs.
Administratively, over 480 penalties were imposed for the possession or consumption of narcotics. 55% of these citations resulted from interventions in the capital, while the remaining 45% were recorded in Motril. Of the 28 people arrested for drug trafficking, 82% were in Granada capital and the remaining 18% were between Motril and Baza.
Concurrently, the National Police, in collaboration with Endesa, carried out 123 interventions against electricity fraud in the Granada capital, as part of the Plan Norte. These actions revealed that 97.5% of the inspected homes had illegal connections to the power grid. As a result, 13 individuals were identified or arrested in connection with this crime, all of them in Granada capital.
