The agricultural organization Faeca Granada has deployed an extensive support structure to facilitate access to subsidies for agricultural professionals. In municipalities such as Huétor Tájar, over 200 farmers have already completed this process with the assistance of the entity's technicians, demonstrating the high interest and urgent need for these aids.
“"We are seeing a very positive response from the sector, which understands the importance of not letting these very short deadlines pass."
Gustavo Ródenas, director of Faeca Granada, emphasized the active participation of farmers in processing their applications across various locations in the province. He stressed that Faeca's primary objective is to support farmers throughout the entire process, resolving their doubts and ensuring they can access the funds with full guarantees and in the shortest possible time.
Farmers have two main avenues for assistance. On one hand, the Spanish Government offers direct subsidies for farms located in affected areas, with amounts ranging from 5,000 to 25,000 euros, depending on income. The deadline for these aids is April 27.
On the other hand, the Junta de Andalucía provides aid calculated based on hectares and crop type, which can reach up to 150,000 euros per beneficiary, with a very short application period of ten working days. Additionally, there are specific lines for extensive livestock farming, up to 50,000 euros, and for farms with losses exceeding 30%.
To manage the high demand, Faeca has implemented a flexible management system tailored to the needs of each cooperative and farmer. This model includes support for self-management through advice and forms, full processing by Faeca, digitalization of farms, and the comprehensive 'Agro360º' service.
The organization urges farmers to contact their cooperatives or designated points as soon as possible to process these aids, given the short deadlines and their crucial impact on the viability of their operations. For inquiries, Faeca has set up a permanent consultation space via video call, Monday to Friday, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
