The city of Granada is preparing to host a fall theater season packed with major productions and renowned performers at the Teatro Isabel la Católica. The program, running from September to December, will feature prominent comedies, a moving musical, and various high-quality artistic stage proposals.
Driven by the Granada City Council, Pentación Espectáculos, and supported by the 'La Caixa' Foundation, this initiative aims to solidify the theater's role as a national cultural benchmark. Mayor Marifrán Carazo emphasized the city's ambition to experience culture intensely, especially in the context of Granada's bid for European Capital of Culture 2031.
The season kicks off from September 18-20 with 'La Verdad,' a comedy by Florian Zeller starring Joaquín Reyes. This will be followed in October by 'La comedia de la olla' (October 9-10) with Carlos Sobera, and the musical tribute 'Rocío Dúrcal es inolvidable' (October 11).
In November, audiences can enjoy '53 domingos' (November 12-13), a comedy by Cesc Gay, and 'La pasión infinita' (November 14-15) with Pepón Nieto. The December program includes 'Misery' (December 10-11), based on the novel by Stephen King and starring Carmen Conesa, and the highly anticipated finale with 'El club de los poetas muertos' (December 12-13), featuring Juanjo Artero.
Additionally, the special programming for the Corpus Christi festivities and the summer season was recalled, with shows such as 'Pijama para seis' (June 2-3) starring Gabino Diego, 'Que Dios nos pille confesados' (June 4-5) with Josema Yuste, and 'Asesinato en el Orient Express' (June 6-7) featuring Juanjo Artero.
