The socialist party has affirmed that housing will be a governmental priority if its candidate assumes the presidency of the Junta de Andalucía, aiming to construct 10,000 protected homes in the province of Granada.

The political group has criticized the current housing management, stating that inaction has made access to decent housing a significant barrier for many citizens. It was highlighted that, despite having European funds and contributions from the Spanish Government, no effective measures have been implemented to limit speculation or develop state law.

"How many young people and how many working families are concerned about accessing decent housing because in Andalusia there is no public housing construction and the market offers flats and houses, for example, in Granada, for 300,000 euros."

The party has proposed an ambitious plan that includes the construction of 100,000 protected homes in the next two legislatures at the regional level, of which 10,000 would be allocated to the province of Granada. This project would be financed with 5.7 billion euros from a new funding model.
Among the specific measures for the province, the approval of a provincial plan for public housing and urban rehabilitation is included, which would even address cave dwellings. A program for accessibility and elevators for the elderly in old buildings has also been mentioned, as well as the promotion of affordable rental housing in rural areas to combat depopulation.
Furthermore, the immediate application of the State Housing Law has been promised, declaring areas as stressed where rental prices are negatively impacting families and young people. The party has also announced a "Zero Entry Plan" to facilitate mortgage access for young people and working families, advancing 20% of the down payment at zero interest.
