The exhibition, open to the public until August 30, features a selection of Chico's recent works that invite viewers to engage in a dialogue with current technological systems and their impact on the human experience.

The Deputy of Culture and Education, Pilar Caracuel, highlighted during the presentation that the exhibition "places Granada at the center of contemporary creation" and allows the public to "approach one of the most unique and coherent artistic careers on the current scene". She emphasized that the artist proposes a "deep reflection on our relationship with technology, art, and processes of social transformation, using an innovative and nuanced visual language".

Caracuel added that the Provincial Council is committed to a cultural program that is "high-quality, capable of generating critical thinking and dialogue with citizens", reaffirming the role of the Palacio de los Condes de Gabia as a "reference space for contemporary art".

For his part, José Miguel Chico thanked the Provincial Council of Granada for its support of "spaces with a long history like the Palacio de los Condes de Gabia, dedicated to contemporary art". The artist stressed the importance of such initiatives "as a symbol of cultural projection" for Granada, especially given its aspiration to become European Capital of Culture.

The exhibition marks Chico López's return to Granada with a solo show ten years after his last presentation in the city. The exhibition is structured into three sets, ranging from geometry and modular systems to a critique of technology and artificial intelligence.

The exhibition is divided into three distinct areas: the first (2018-2021) is inspired by the Seminar on Automatic Generation of Plastic Forms at the Complutense University of Madrid, incorporating error as a creative element. The second space, related to the exhibition 'A Matter of Weight' (2023), explores the balance between weight and void. Finally, the exhibition culminates with an installation titled 'Yo, tú, ella' (I, you, she), which poses a dialogue between the artist ('I'), the viewer ('you'), and technology ('she'), reflecting on the concept of "persistent future" by philosopher Franco Berardi.
