The promotional image, created by designer José Manuel Valverde, is a composition that pays tribute to the identity of Granada. The piece integrates iconic elements such as the Custodia, the Tarasca, and the silhouette of the Alhambra, blending local tradition with a contemporary aesthetic that evokes the city's collective memory.
During the presentation, the mayor of Granada, Marifrán Carazo, confirmed that journalist Mónica Martínez Leyva will serve as the official proclaimer. The event is scheduled for May 30th at 12:00 PM in the City Hall Courtyard.
The selection of the proclaimer reflects her extensive professional career and her deep connection to the city. The journalist, who holds a doctorate in Journalism and Communication, has had a distinguished career in national and regional media, having previously received awards such as the Granada Tourism Award.
The local government emphasized that these festivities represent a key opportunity to project the city's image, particularly within the framework of its bid for European Capital of Culture 2031, reinforcing the value of local heritage and creativity.
