The organization, which operated mainly from the Granada neighborhood of Almanjáyar, used stolen vehicles with false license plates and impersonated law enforcement officers to assault other clans. The detainees intimidated and assaulted their victims to steal drugs and vehicles.
The investigation revealed a complex logistical infrastructure, including the supply of stolen vehicles and false license plates from the province of Seville. They possessed advanced technological means such as frequency jammers, cameras, and GPS devices to track their targets before carrying out the assaults.
The assaults were carried out on major roads like the A-44 or A-92, often causing collisions and pursuits. The criminals did not hesitate to display and use firearms, generating social alarm and seriously endangering road safety.
During the searches, over 200,000 euros in cash, 14 vehicles valued at over 600,000 euros, six firearms, five imitation weapons, ammunition, bulletproof vests, and police uniforms were seized. Nine marijuana plantations with approximately 4,000 plants were also dismantled, along with 30 kilograms of buds and several kilograms of hashish.
The detainees are accused of crimes including belonging to a criminal organization, attempted homicide, drug trafficking, illegal possession of weapons, robbery with violence and intimidation, and assault on law enforcement officers. The operation remains open, and further arrests are not ruled out.
