The event took place shortly before 10:00 AM, when emergency services received multiple alerts regarding a powerful explosion in a building located on Umbría Street. The blast was followed by a fire that necessitated the intervention of firefighters.
The affected individuals were promptly transported to a hospital for medical treatment. A comprehensive emergency response was deployed to the scene, involving the Granada Fire Department, medical personnel, Civil Protection units, the Local Police, and Citizen Security agents.
Additionally, the GEDEX team of the Guardia Civil also arrived at the location. Firefighters worked to extinguish the flames caused by the explosion. As of now, no detailed information has been released regarding the victims' condition.
The Organic Unit of the Judicial Police of the Guardia Civil has taken charge of the investigation to ascertain the precise causes that led to the explosion and subsequent fire in the dwelling.
