The town of Baza, in Granada, will become the epicenter of gravel cycling from April 10 to 12 with the celebration of the fourth edition of Utopía Gravel, an event set to attract prominent international and national cyclists.

This event, established as one of the most significant dates on the international gravel cycling calendar, is supported by the Baza City Council and promises a top-tier sporting spectacle. The competition will gather an elite group of cyclists from various disciplines, ensuring an exciting experience for both participants and fans.
Among the most notable names is Nino Schurter, widely recognized as the greatest mountain biker of all time. He will be joined by prominent figures in Spanish cycling such as Granada's David Valero, Alejandro Valverde, and Luis León Sánchez. The list of international participants also includes Elisabeth Hermolle, UK champion, Tiago Ferreira, Maddy Nutt, Marco Fontana, Spanish marathon champion José María Sánchez, and cyclist Sara Barceiro, who will hold a signing session on Friday at 7:00 PM.

"This event represents a unique opportunity to project the city nationally and internationally, in addition to promoting sports and boosting the local economy. From the organization, we expect a large influx of participants and fans, who will be able to enjoy not only the sporting spectacle but also the privileged natural environment that our area offers."

José A. Valdivieso · Sports Councilor of Baza City Council
The race course will combine urban and rural sections, starting from the Plaza Mayor, where race numbers will be collected. Both the 165-kilometer and 110-kilometer modalities will conclude at the Constantino Navarro Municipal Stadium. On Sunday, the focus will shift to the stunning surroundings of Cerro Jabalcón and the well-known Baños de Zújar, offering spectacular scenery to the cyclists.
