Adapted van for transporting people with reduced mobility in Granada.
The Granada Provincial Council has allocated a 20,000-euro grant to the Granada Association for the Care of People with Cerebral Palsy (Aspace), aimed at acquiring an adapted van to optimize the mobility and care of its users in the province.
This financial aid will enable Aspace to purchase a new adapted vehicle, which is crucial for facilitating the transfers of individuals with cerebral palsy and their families, thereby enhancing the quality of services provided by the entity.
The deputy for Social Welfare and Family, Elena Duque, visited the organization's headquarters to gain firsthand insight into the important work they carry out. During her meeting with Aspace's president, Encarnación Navas, and the center's staff, Duque highlighted the close collaboration between the provincial institution and the association.
The deputy also noted that this grant complements other financial contributions made in previous years, all aimed at promoting initiatives that improve the quality of life for users. She emphasized the Provincial Council's "firm commitment" to social entities in the province, acknowledging their work in assisting vulnerable groups.
For her part, Encarnación Navas, president of Aspace in Granada, expressed her gratitude for the support received and for the funding for the new adapted vehicle, stating that it was "very necessary" and would provide "safety and greater quality in transfers" for their users.
