Since 2019, the Junta de Andalucía has completed over 300 educational projects in Granada, with an expenditure exceeding 60 million euros. These works have modernized centers in various municipalities across the province, including the construction of new institutes in Albolote and Maracena, the CEIP Francisco Ayala in Ogíjares, and the expansion of CEIP El Torreón in Las Gabias. Improvements have also been made in centers on the Coast and the Altiplano, such as IES La Zafra in Motril and the Conservatorio José Salinas in Baza.
Investments have also benefited the capital city of Granada, with over fifty projects executed. These include the renovation of the Escuela de Arte José Val del Omar, improvements to CEIP Luis Rosales, and the expansion of spaces at IES Politécnico Hermenegildo Lanz and the Centro de FP de Aynadamar. Currently, projects such as the renovation of IES Padre Suárez, improvements to IES Severo Ochoa, and the construction of the gymnasium at CEIP San Juan de Dios are still underway.
Additionally, a bioclimatization program is being implemented, with an investment of nearly six million euros, to improve thermal comfort in schools and institutes across the province, including the center in Ogíjares. This program aims to create healthier, more efficient, and comfortable spaces for students and teachers, ensuring equal opportunities and quality public education in the province.
