The president of the Junta de Andalucía and re-election candidate for the Andalusian PP has used social media to present a different proposal during the election campaign: a music playlist under the slogan “With the strength of Andalucía.” This initiative aims to show a more personal side of the leader as he heads towards the elections on May 17.
The music selection was revealed in a video recorded inside a car, following a campaign day in Granada. The political leader, wearing headphones, took advantage of a calm moment on his way to Málaga to share his love for music, emphasizing that it “calms him down immensely.”
The list, lasting 1 hour and 54 minutes, is an eclectic mix that includes everything from recognizable classics like Mi gran noche by Raphael or Don’t Stop Me Now by Queen, to songs by contemporary artists such as The Killers, Leiva, or David Bisbal. It also incorporates local nods with tracks like Me voy pa’ Andalucía.
“"I really like music, it calms me down immensely."
The initiative has had a significant impact, with over 700 users saving the playlist in less than 24 hours. This type of action highlights the growing importance of social media in election campaigns, where candidates seek more relatable and everyday formats to emotionally connect with voters, using music as a key tool.
