The Local Police of Granada has reported the appearance of graffiti on buildings affected by the seismic series with the message 'Danger of collapse'. The municipal security force has clarified that these messages were not made by any municipal service and that the cordoning off of properties is a preventive measure against the possible fall of non-structural elements, not due to imminent collapse risk.
The security force has requested that those responsible for this graffiti "refrain from generating confusion and unnecessary alarm". The mayor of Granada, Marifrán Carazo, had previously stated that no serious structural damage has been registered after the inspection of nearly 700 buildings, highlighting the robustness of the city's building code.
The Local Police, Firefighters, and Civil Protection have observed a decrease of up to 40% in calls related to the effects of the earthquakes. Marifrán Carazo has valued this trend as an indicator that the city is moving forward, although she insisted on the need to maintain prudence and necessary resources while inspections continue.
Currently, most calls received by the 092 Coordination Room concern damage to private properties, such as cracks and minor interior defects. Cases of greater severity are referred to the Fire Department for assessment.
