The Granada Ring Road, the GR-30, experienced severe traffic jams in both directions this Friday due to a traffic accident and the peak hour for people leaving work and schools. The incident, involving two vehicles, occurred near the Nevada Shopping center in Armilla.
According to the Emergencies 112 of Andalusia service, no injuries were reported in the collision. The Civil Guard responded to the scene. However, traffic was particularly affected on the opposite lane, where a multi-kilometer tailback slowed down circulation.
Although 112 has no record of another accident in the area, reports of stopped vehicles on the road have emerged, contributing to the congestion. Access roads to the ring road, such as Avenida de Andalucía, are also experiencing traffic saturation.
