The fire broke out shortly before half past seven in the evening this Thursday on the A-483 road, within the municipality of Almonte, as the vehicle was heading towards the village of El Rocío.
The Provincial Firefighters Consortium of Huelva received the alert at 7:32 PM. Nine firefighters from the Almonte and San Juan del Puerto stations, supported by five vehicles, were dispatched to the scene of the incident.
As a direct consequence of the fire, which started in the trailer itself, seven of the horses were killed, while one was successfully saved.
