All roads affected by the Niebla fire have been reopened, and evacuated residents can return to their homes following the stabilization of the blaze.

The acting central government delegate in Andalusia, Francisco Toscano, announced the reopening of all traffic routes and the orderly return of residents evacuated from the provinces of Huelva and Sevilla. This decision was made after agreeing to lower the Emergency Operational Plan to level 1.
The Directorate of Emergencies proposed the de-escalation to level 1 due to the fire's stabilization. This measure facilitates the progressive withdrawal of state resources, allowing the Military Emergencies Unit (UME) to return to its base in Morón de la Frontera. Forest brigades and some aerial resources from the Ministry for Ecological Transition (Miteco) will also begin their gradual return.
Despite the withdrawal of some personnel, the government will maintain essential resources, such as those from the Civil Guard, who will continue to collaborate in resettlement efforts and ensure safety for a secure return to homes.
Francisco Toscano highlighted the Executive's firm commitment throughout the emergency and stressed that, after stabilization, two key phases remain: definitive extinction, involving damage assessment in collaboration with local councils, and subsequent recovery of the affected regions. He advocated for reflection on reforestation adapted to climate change to prevent future disasters.
The government representative thanked all emergency personnel and participating administrations, specifically mentioning mayors for their role as a "transmission belt" to affected residents.
